GOTHENBURG, PALM BEACH, OLIVA (...): LEGS TO CROSS THE WORLD...
It was a weekend of firsts for Nicola Philippaerts (SOFT'UP PRO) and continuity for the others before the lasts indoor shows (World Cup Final) and the beginning of the outdoor season.
Gothenburg hosted the cream of the World Cup circuit for the last qualifying leg but also the youth (!): the young rider Nicole Holmén (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY) didn’t miss the opportunity to inject its new blood in the Young Rider Cup 140 in which she was 2nd and 4th on Wednesday and Thursday and 6th of the final on Sunday!
On Thursday the spruce Oliver Lazarus (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY) grabbed two victories, one in the 150 with jump-off of which Emanuele Gaudiano (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY Air) was the 3rd, and one in the 145 speed class where Nicola Philippaerts (SOFT'UP PRO) was 4th and Kevin Staut (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY Air) 9th. The one we also call the Kaiser was still 8th of the 145 with jump-off won by Emanuele Gaudiano followed by Lars Nieberg (SOFT'UP PRO) 3rd and 5th Hansi.
On Saturday the Italian kept up as he won yet another class: the accumulator with jocker in which Kevin and Hansi were 5th and 10th respectively.
On Sunday the burgeoning champion Nicola Philippaerts (SOFT'UP PRO) revealed the maturity of his 20 years winning two antagonistic classes: firstly the 145 speed 145 in front of World #3 Ludger and then no less than the World Cup GP this time in front of the experienced Geir Gulliksen (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY Air) 10th! With this first World Cup victory the Belgian qualified for the Final in Lyon, his first one ever...
The force was also on the side of Palm Beach... and the women with a 3rd place for Team USA in the Nations Cup made half of Beezie Madden and Brianne Goutal both in SOFT'UP PRO! A 3rd place in the GP for the Irish Cian O'Connor (SOFT'UP PRO/FLY ONE) and a ribbon of 6th for Beezie Madden.
Brilliant spiciness at Oliva where the 150 GP didn’t move Constant Van Paesschen (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY Air) 6th or Chloe Aston (SOFT'UP PRO) 9th.
Happy Ending with a 8th victory for Freejump signed by the explosive Jody Bosteels (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY) in Gent’s GP.
From "let’s get going!” to "let’s ride!" there is only one stride!
